Fundraising for Pilgrimage to India to receive teachings from the 14th Dalai Lama

My heart has been overflowing with love for Buddhism and His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

For many years, I vowed that one day, I would meet His Holiness. Some of my Buddhist classmates in the past, have traveled to India, receive teachings and at that time, I said I couldn’t afford to go. I realized after turning 65, I wasn’t getting any younger and His Holiness wasn’t either. This would be the year to follow my heart, go in faith and make a pilgrimage to India for this once in a lifetime opportunity to be blessed by His Holiness with other Lamrim classmates.

I am honored to also attend a ceremony of the life of the beloved late Master Jih-Chang in Taiwan.

My felt if I waited until I had the resources, I would never go, so that is why the fundraising and donations are necessary.

I am inspired by attending ongoing Buddhist classes with the Venerable monks and do volunteering for them and the Buddhist nuns here in PE.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

Important note: Due to limited quantities of art work please select first, second choices. Frames types, and sizes may vary. Art work colors may be modified depending on printing process.

Depending on how much you donate , you will receive a thank you gift and everyone has an invitation to accompany me on this personal journey. (Important note: It will not be posted on social media)

Postage to Canada and United States for art items 1 to 4, included shipping handling, insurance and tracking, packing box or special envelope that are $20.

If you are in the Charlottetown or surrounding areas I can make arrangements to get you the art product to you in person that way you would save all the shipping handling, etc.

Prices of artwork reflects what I sell them in retail stores or galleries. Exception to this, is the original artwork which has been reduced substantially during this fundraising.

Acrylic Art work detail
As a small child, I remember visiting this Grand-Pré National Historic Site which is a park set aside to commemorate the Grand-Préarea of Nova Scotia as a centre of Acadian settlement from 1682 to 1755, and the British deportation of the Acadians that happened during the French and Indian War. The original village of Grand Pré extended four kilometres along the ridge between present-day Wolfville and Hortonville. Grand-Pré is listed as a World Heritage Site.

It was important to me to have the French Acadian Flag in the painting.

Evangeline: A Tale of Acadie
“Evangeline: A Tale of Acadie,” first published in 1847, was a poem written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Almost immediately after its release, the poem obtained worldwide popularity. Millions of people were drawn to the story of a young Acadian couple from the village of Grand-Pré, Evangeline Bellefontaine and Gabriel Lajeunesse, who were separated by the events of the Deportation.
